The Year 5/6 boys football team made an excellent start to their season in Round 1 of the local primary school competition. Representing Farndon with pride, the boys competed against several local schools and produced some outstanding performances throughout the afternoon.
The team showed great determination and skill, winning both of their competitive matches. Alongside these victories, the boys also took part in a number of friendly matches, which provided valuable opportunities for players to experience different positions on the pitch and further develop their understanding of the game.
What was most pleasing was the way the boys conducted themselves throughout the event. Every member of the squad demonstrated Farndon values at all times, showing excellent teamwork, encouragement and respect for one another. Their positive attitude and sportsmanship towards opponents, teammates and officials were a credit to the school.
We are incredibly proud of the whole team for their achievements and the manner in which they represented Farndon. Well done, boys, on a fantastic afternoon of football, and we look forward to seeing your continued progress in the next round! ⚽🙂
