School Meals

Meals

At Farndon Fields the children have a choice of school dinners or they may prefer to bring a packed lunch. Dolce run the school kitchen with meals cooked on the premises and there is a daily choice of menu, including vegetarian and special diet meals. The menus change to reflect seasonal produce and to take into account feedback from parents and particularly from children.
Meals are ordered in advance via SchoolGrid, where the account must be in credit. The cost of school meals is currently £2.65 per meal (£13.25 per week).

Please contact the school office if you required a SchoolGrid account login.

Pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are all entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals. Pupils in these and older year groups may also be entitled to means tested free school meals (further information is below).

All children may bring in their own fruit or vegetables to eat at morning break. As part of the Fruit in Schools programme children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 are provided with a free piece of fruit daily.

We have children and staff with severe nut allergies; please do not send any nut products to school for lunch or snacks. This includes pesto, nut-based spreads and cereal bars with nuts or nut products in them.
