The Year 5/6 girls football team made an excellent start to their campaign in the first round of the local primary school football competition. Facing a number of local schools, the girls produced some outstanding performances to finish the afternoon unbeaten, recording four victories and one draw from their five matches.
Throughout the tournament, the team displayed great determination, confidence and teamwork, playing some excellent football and supporting one another from start to finish. Their positive attitude and resilience were key to their success, helping them overcome challenges and achieve a fantastic set of results.
As well as their achievements on the pitch, the girls demonstrated the Farndon values in every game. They respected opponents and officials, and encouraged one another throughout the afternoon. Their behaviour and teamwork were a real credit to the school.
Well done to all of the girls for representing Farndon so brilliantly. We look forward to seeing them continue their success in the next round! 👏⚽
