This week, Year 6 took part in an exciting ‘River Nile’ workshop delivered by CLS. The workshop was both informative and engaging, helping to bring our learning about Ancient Egypt to life. It provided the children with a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of the importance of the River Nile and the key role it played in the success and prosperity of this remarkable civilisation.

During the workshop, pupils explored up close a map of Ancient Egypt, learned about the trade routes used by the Egyptians, practised writing using hieroglyphic symbols, and even had the chance to try their hand at mummification! The workshop was thoroughly enjoyed by all and provided a memorable, hands-on learning experience that enriched the children’s understanding of Ancient Egyptian life and culture.
