Severn Trent introduced the importance of looking after our water systems to the whole school in our morning assembly. With lots of interesting facts and an interactive quiz show, the children learned a lot about how they can save water and what they should or should not be flushing down the toilet!
Afterwards, Year 3 and 4 experienced a workshop with Severn Trent. They had a closer look at what Severn Trent’s role is in cleaning water. In teams, they worked out how much water different families use and why some families might use more than others. They couldn’t believe how much some used! The children used this to work out what some of the families could do to reduce the amount of water they use each day.
