Welcome to Farndon Fields Primary School

Thank you for visiting our school website. This is the place where you can begin to get a real insight into the wonderful things that happen at Farndon Fields Primary School. As the new Headteacher I am delighted to be leading the school at such an exciting time in education.

We are a successful, friendly school set in beautiful grounds on the edge of Market Harborough. Our school is growing in size with the construction of two additional classrooms that were completed in February 2013.  We have very close links with our local community including a strong collaborative partnership with all of the local schools. Farndon Fields became a school with academy status on the 1st July 2012 as part of the Harborough Collaborative Trust (HCT). The HCT is a group of like-minded schools that are aiming to deliver the best outcomes for primary age children in the Harborough district.

At Farndon Fields we are incredibly passionate about improving health and later life choices for all the children in our care, impacting positively on the local community. A healthy school is essential to building and sustaining a learning environment. We have a school ethos that promotes health, well–being, self-esteem and resilience. These are the foundations for our children to be successful in all they do. We have high aspirations for all of the children in our school and we are working hard to build an innovative, creative curriculum that supports the children’s needs. The entire school community works hard to ensure that the children reach their full potential. Our goal is to develop life-long learning characteristics in children that encourage self-leadership skills, helping them to feel successful as individuals, learners and critical thinkers.

In October 2012, Ofsted rated the school as ‘good’. They reported that ‘pupils achieve well because teaching is effective, lessons are interesting and those who need extra support get what they need’. They added that ‘a high level of enthusiasm throughout the school community creates a very positive climate for learning’.

"Highly effective care and guidance ensure that pupils feel safe, behave well and achieve successfully"

Farndon Fields is a growing school in a rapidly growing community. We want to provide an outstanding education for all the children who are part of the Farndon family – supporting them to be the best that they can be; giving children the skills they need for the rest of their life. If you would like to see the school in action then we would welcome the opportunity to show you around and answer any questions that you may have. Meanwhile, enjoy our website which showcases just some of the fabulous learning taking place at Farndon Fields Primary School.
